In the heart of downtown Morton, surrounded by the sweet scent of pumpkin donuts and the buzz of the Morton Pumpkin Festival, the very first Hambrick Pavilion came to life, and it was all we hoped for and more.

First annual Hambrick Foundation at the Morton Pumpkin Festival brings in $20,000 for individuals with special needs.

Held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, The Hambrick Pavilion became home to a one-day pop-up experience that brought people together around food, music, community, and a shared commitment to making a difference. From morning to night, we welcomed guests to the pavilion to eat, connect, and celebrate a cause close to our hearts: supporting individuals with special needs and their families.

We kicked off the day bright and early with our Derby-themed parade party, offering guests private access to restrooms, pumpkin donuts and coffee, and a front-row seat to one of Morton’s most beloved traditions. Families, sponsors, and supporters gathered under the Pavilion tents to enjoy the festivities in style and comfort — many donning their best Derby hats and fall flair!

Vendors, Live Music & Fun for All Ages

From 2–5 PM, we opened the Pavilion to the public for an afternoon of live entertainment by Neal Bowling, local vendors, food trucks, drinks, and kids' activities. There was something for everyone — from Waffle Pops to Bust’d Brewing, yard games to vendor shopping — all beneath the crisp autumn sky.

As evening fell, the ticketed portion of the event began, with performances by Dexter O’Neil and Matt Eckberg, transforming the Pavilion into a backyard concert filled with dancing, laughter, and purpose.

Making a Real Impact

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, volunteers, performers, and guests, we raised over $20,000 to support The Hambrick Foundation’s mission of empowering families and children with special needs. Every dollar went directly to local programs and grants that help create more inclusive communities.

A New Tradition Begins

What started as an idea quickly became a cherished event. We can't wait for next year's event, we hope you can join us!
