Today, The Hambrick Foundation delivered a grant that will truly make a difference at LaSalle Elementary School in Creve Coeur, Illinois. Ashley Hampton, an incredible educator in the early childhood self-contained special education classroom, is using the funds to purchase an interactive projection machine for use in her classroom.
"This projection comes with pre-programmed learning games and sensory screens for my students to interact with," Ashley wrote in her application. "It will greatly enhance my ability to provide a fun, safe, educational environment for my students."
The machine will serve dual purposes: addressing sensory needs for her morning class, many of whom have severe autism, and incorporating engaging educational games for her afternoon students. This tool will not only create a calming atmosphere for sensory regulation but also bring learning to life in an interactive and joyful way.
The possibilities for growth, learning, and fun are endless with this new resource. We're so happy to support Ashley and her project!
